Alchemy Treatment at HOB Camden

Casually flicking through one of the glossy supplements one lazy Sunday afternoon, I came across the alchemy treatment: a bespoke hair mask designed to suit your hair type and demonstrated at HOB salons. Winter was closing in and my hair was in dire need of some TLC, so I booked myself an appointment.

When I discovered that the alchemy treatment was a mere £15.99 I decided to revitalise my colour too. The colour ‘guru’, Christel Lundqvist, transformed my hair from a dull and sun-damaged mouse brown to a glossy rich chestnut in time for winter. She advised me to opt for warm colours to emphasise my eyes and complement my complexion. I trusted her suggestions. After all, I wouldn’t want to disagree with a British Colour Technician of the Year.

Then my alchemist, Miles Davies, sat me down for my hair consultation and created a treatment mask specifically suited to my hair from over 35 combinations. The mask was massaged into my scalp for 15 minutes while I fully relaxed, forgetting I was slap bang in the middle of bustling Camden. I closed my eyes and sank further into the comfy leather hairdresser’s chair. They then gave me a professional blow dry and sent me merrily on my way.

The word ‘alchemy’ is derived from an Arabic word for a practice which attempts to change base metals into gold, and HOB’s treatment really did inject a touch of gold into my hair, and it remained super shiny for weeks.

HOB salon has won British Hairdresser of the Year for two years running and is hoping for a hat-trick this year. The staff are all trained extensively at the HOB London Academy in their flagship salon in Camden, meaning you can trust each of them to create a style that will be suited specifically to you.
