Kate Kelsall is a fledgling freelance cultural writer living the graduate dream, which currently entails residing in an attic in Brixton pimped out like Aladdin’s den, living ludicrously beyond her means and dangerously close to her overdraft limit (due to her penchant for patisseries, long socks and snazzy tights, late nights, film photography and cultural delicacies) and gambling the fine by not paying for transport (sorry Boris!) She’s a country girl at heart, often pining for the rolling Devonian hills of her blissful youth, but adores the buzz of the capital, especially fond of Brixton food market, the view from Waterloo Bridge, Holland Park, China Town and seedy East End basement clubs.
