Chiron AgeDefi Treatment
I’ve always been in awe of celebrities (or anyone for that matter) who can actually consider having any kind of invasive surgery just to improve the way they look.
So when I was offered the opportunity to try out a revolutionary skin treatment on Harley Street – the first of its kind in the UK – I have to admit I was terrified, but in the interests of not being a wimp, I thought I’d give it a go.
The surgery itself was amazing: leather armchairs, a friendly receptionist, BBC News 24 on in the waiting room, no sign of anyone on benefits. If I ever win the lottery I’m going private. No question.
Dr Nyjon Eccles, who has pioneered the Chiron AgeDefi treatment, talked me through the process, which is basically a small electric pen which momentarily opens your pores and allows a treatment cream of all natural products to penetrate right into your skin, not just into the top layer that most creams and masks do. This plumps your wrinkles and leaves your skin looking clear and brimming with life.
It takes just 20 minutes. The cream is applied to your face and then the small electric pen moves in little circles across your skin. It doesn’t tickle, or hurt, or itch. It feels like the most ineffectual thing ever. Except for having to wear a rubber pad on my neck to ‘earth’ me, that was a bit scary. But aside from that it was pretty much the most dull 20 minutes of my life.
Looking in the mirror afterwards I was amazed that I could already see the difference, and feel it. My skin stayed fresh all day, and for a couple of weeks after. When I left the surgry I headed to Oxford Street to indulge in some retail therapy, and was told by three shop assistants on seperate occasions how amazing my skin looked. And you can’t say fairer than that.
Prices start from: £150 per treatment.
The clinic also offers a body treatment which works on cellulite.
