Store Spotlight: Glassworks Studios
There are so many pop-up shops ‘popping up’ in London these days, it’s hard to know which ones are worth a trip and which ones are just a fad with a load of people jumping on the bandwagon. But Glassworks Studios is one to make you sit up and take note, particularly as it has the impressive accolade of being in association with Sunday Times Style.
Situated on Monmouth Street, near to the infamous Seven Dials in Covent Garden, the store is packed full with contemporary designer labels such as Helmut Lang, Carven and IRO but is not limited to high-end. Glassworks knows that we like to mix pricier investment items with things we can pick up on the high street and so prices for some items start at around a more affordable £35.
The brand – which started off as an online only affair – aims to attract style conscious women who like cool, undiscovered brands. Think slogan tees, graphic print trousers and bold knit jumpers. The store is effortlessly cool and encourages Twitter savvy shoppers to upload pictures of themselves wearing the clothes with the hashtag #glassygirls.
Currently hosting a sample sale, you can nab yourself some designer bargains and stumble across Equipment shirts and Marc Jacobs bags for an incredible price. With a fast rotating stock, there are always great new pieces waiting to be discovered.
Due to the success of the store which was originally intended to close in June of this year, it has now been extended and will be around until at least Christmas time! Rather handy for festive gifts…
