Collin Diet Kick Start Treatment

Holiday season is ever closer and you just know it won’t be long before every magazine under the sun is promising the ‘best ever bikini diet’, reminding you how fat and white you really look.

Unfortunately bikini diets are not conducive to enjoying a cool beer in the sunshine. Which is why we decided to check out lymphatic drainage, a process which drains your body of excess water and improves your circulation, lymphatic and digestive systems. The final effect is meant to leave you toned, firm and often visibly thinner.

I tried out what’s called the Collin Diet Kick Start Treatment at a salon in Victoria. First off I was thoroughly exfoliated with a sea salt scrub, followed by a manual lymphatic drainage massage where my therapist applyed light pressure with her fingers all over my body. There was also a ‘non-invasive’ colonic massage on the abdomen, which feels weird but is supposed to kickstart the drainage system.

After this a firming green paste was applied. This mint-smelling and absolutely freezing mixture of Algo-Marine powder and a cooling concentrate was rubbed all over my body. Again the low temperature is supposed to kick start lypolisis and calorie burning. I was left to relax for 15 minutes while it dried, then the paste was literally peeled off and a draining balm massaged into my skin.

Not for the prudish, this treatment involves near nakedness to make sure they get the drainage where it needs to be: bum, legs, thighs and bingo wings. Afterwards I was visibly thinner and firmer as measurements taken by my therapist showed I’d lost a noticeable few centimetres from my hips and thighs.

Collin UK has salons throughout London. Treatments start at £40.
