Sam has spent much of his life wondering what to do with a history degree. Turns out you can't cook with it, iron shirts with it, or dig flower beds with it, but you can write with it, which is what he has spent much of his time doing. Like many people of his generation, he tends to hang around Hackney, but a son of the suburbs himself, he is attuned to the charms of Bromley and Barnet.
