
Something of a throwback who might have been better born as a straitened Victorian type, Martin gallantly tries to fight being modern, having fun or fitting in. Unfortunately, he is also painfully weak of resolve, and often finds himself enjoying himself while out and about in London more than really befits his personality. That being said, he still finds a special thrill in picking holes in the absurd, superfluous or pointless, and can spend many a happy hour grumbling loudly about the latest twist of modernity with which he has been forced to confront.
