East Londoners, or any Londoners for that matter, get ready for one of the most exciting fashion events of the year so far. Made in Shoreditch magazine; a publication that celebrates the east end as the creative capital of London, have organised The Shoreditch Fashion Show 2013, where the catwalk will showcase Britain’s best young and emerging designers. The collections will be judged by a panel of fashion icons including Hollywood’s Mischa Barton, indie pop singer Eliza Doolittle, and Serge DeNimes creator and Made in Chelsea star Oliver Proudlock.
Made in Shoreditch held a competition to find up and coming designers that could use social media in the most effective way possible to market themselves to a wide audience. The finalists had seven days to accumulate as many Facebook likes, retweets, pins, G+1s and unique visitors to their pages as possible. The Shoreditch Fashion Show will showcase the collections of the winners.
Taking place on Saturday 27 April at the Hoxton Docks, the event will be more than just a fashion show. With live music and DJ sets throughout the night, the evening can be spent enjoying creative talent from some of the world’s top fashion schools. With fashion illustrations, projection, photography, installations and designers, there is going to be some serious talent in the room.
A number of high profile brands including Tiger Beer, Polaroid and Red Bull are involved to make sure that the drinks are flowing and the vibe is electric all night.
