So we have been waiting three months since New Year for a bank holiday break from the daily grind and guess what? The British weather is going to live up to its name and be diabolical. All weekend. What better excuse do we need to go shopping?
Thankfully the kings of cling-wear, American Apparel, are bringing their famous international rummage sale tour to London to save us from a weekend of Easter eggs and dodgy Western movie re-runs.
After touring the factory rummage sale through Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, San Diego, Miami, Berlin and Austin, American Apparel’s renowned rummage sale has finally landed in the heart of London’s East End. They’ve hired out over 22,000 square feet of space in Brick Lane which should provide enough area to store the tens of thousands of items on sale over the bank holiday weekend. All stock will be at bargain basement prices, with everything at up to 85% off and some pieces going for as little as £1.
At past events over 50,000 people have been known to turn up, so it’s a good job that the three-day sale will run through Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
With a Facebook event citing over 22,000 in attendance, American Apparel has been taking requests from those planning to attend, asking for suggestions on what should be included in the sale, promising that there will be a feast of treats. Get there early to grab yourself a sack full of bargains and stock up on your Lycra this Easter!
