Tunnel Vision – Banksy’s South Bank Stencil Show

Banksy's Cans FestivalIf you missed the Cans Festival – Banksy’s recent street stencil party – fear  not, his urban art show is still on display at London’s Waterloo for all to enjoy.

The exhibition, at a disused tunnel on Leake Street, is home to a self-harming hoody, a Buddha wearing a neck-brace, a council worker spraying over ancient cave paintings and the Pope with Marilyn Monroe legs.

These are just a few of the multitude of artworks created by 40 of the chief proponents of graffiti art, who came from around the world to participate.

The art installations initially on display in the showcase have now been removed, but Eurostar, who owns the tunnel, has agreed to leave the murals and graffiti in place for up to six months, so there’s still a chance to catch a glimpse of what soon will be urban history…
